San Francisco

I went to San Francisco with Daniel and Paul at the end of May. Daniel was presenting at a Urology conference there so Paul and I came along. We had so much fun and I just love spending time with my brothers. I feel that I am the luckiest girl to have so many wonderful brothers.

Here are a few pictures of the trip.

We went to Japanese town and had some wonderful Japanese drinks. I wish we could get these beverages at our local market.

Lombard street in San Francisco

On one of the open public buses which is a much better mode of transportation when compared with driving. I hated driving in San Francisco and I am grateful that I had patient brothers. I have to say that I was a bit crazy when behind the wheel. They have crazy rules and sign right in the city. I had a cop pull up next to me and tell me I just made an illegal turn. I was so grateful he didn't give me a ticket. He must have recognized a tourist that didn't know what she was doing.

We had a lot of fun taking the cable cars around the city. There were great views of the bay and city from the cable cars.
We went to Golden Gate Park which is the most amazing park I have ever been too. It is a true oasis in the midst of a big city. The botanic gardens were amazing and I got quite a few beautiful pictures of the flowers. I would love to live next to this park and go running on the many trails the wind around the park. You could run on a different one everyday. I felt like I was taking a hike on a mountain trail at times. Truly amazing!!!

Muir Wood

The redwoods were so incredibly big. We took a nice hike through the forest. We never made it to the view we were attempting to find but it is always nice to be in the woods.

Seaweed can be quite a whip!

Here we are at my favorite restaurant in San Francisco, Burma Superstar. I have been there twice and it has been delicious both times. If you ever go to San Francisco make sure you try it out.

Canvas and Cocktails

Amanda, Wendy and I went to Canvas and Cocktails and painted beautiful pictures. We were instructed on how to paint the picture and I think they all turned out quite well. It was so much fun and I was totally shocked how well they turned out.

Julianne's birthday

In May, Julianne turned 8 years old. I cannot believe how quickly time goes by. I feel like we were just having her 4th birthday. I gave her a crystal necklace. Here is a picture of her in a dress she got with the necklace on. She is so beautiful.

Jeff's graduation from CU

In May Jeff graduated from University of Colorado with a bachelors in Asian Studies. This was a really exciting day and we are all so proud of him. Here are a few pictures of the day. I realized that I did not get a picture of him in his gown. Who know what I was thinking.

Julianne and Sieto found two graduation caps and put them on for the picture. They were talking about when they will graduate from college. I love hearing them talk about the education they plan of getting.

Here are our mini veterinarians. They were so cute running around saving the animals. Seito came up with the funniest stories and ailments. Nothing is better than a kid having fun with a wild imagination.

The puppet show

Each kid had their own story going on and it usually involved a princess since girls were involved. It was so funny!
Here are our wild animals. They were running around wild and climbing up everything. They loved being dressed up.

At the grocery store. It was mad chaos in there! The kids were all having a ball playing the different parts. Here is Seito checking out and Julianne being the checker. I majority of the time I was running around stocking the shelves and cleaning up since I cannot stand a mess. One day I am sure I will relax.

Playing with trains

One of the coolest parts was the chance to build something with wood, containers, lids, etc. They got to use real tools which at times was nerve wracking, but so fun. Julianne made a crown.

Seito just enjoyed sawing and being dressed up.

Here are our firemen already to put out the next fire. They had so fun being dressed up and playing on the fire truck.

Kari and Trevor's Wedding

The wedding/sealing was so beautiful! The sealer shared such wonderful things about the temple and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I love the picture above because it shows the happiness of Kari.

The best friends!!! I love these girls and it is so nice to be together to share in the excitement of Kari and Trevor's marriage.

Isn't this cake so amazing? I don't know if I have ever seen a prettier cake. It was such a wonderful reception, with good food and company. I just love being there to celebrate such a special time. Kari and Trevor are an amazing couple and I wish them the very best in their new life together. They will do great things together. Kari has been such a dear friend to me and I am so grateful for her friendship. We have been through a lot together including challenges in both of our lives and exciting things like running a marathon. She is one of those people I know will be a friend of mine forever. I am so grateful that the Lord has blessed me with her friendship.
